Meet Dr. McBride
Dr. Katrinia McBride is originally from a small town north of Denton and has been interested in the dental field since a very young age. She began her education at Texas Woman’s University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry in 2003. She was recognized by TWU with a Summa Cum Laude distinction upon graduation. Dr. McBride continued her education at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. She continued to strive for excellence and again received Cum Laude honors when she graduated with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2008.
That pursuit for knowledge did not stop upon graduation. Dr. McBride continues take endless hours of continuing education so she can stay privy to advancements in technology and the practice of dentistry. In 2021, she received the prestigious honor of becoming a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry. This is an honor that only 6% of dentists in the U.S. and Canada ever achieve. It required over 500 hours of continuing education across all disciplines of dentistry and an extensive exam that tested her competency in those areas.
Dr. McBride has a passion for volunteering her time to many local causes including the Krum Education Foundation and First Refuge Dental Clinic. She also does an annual “Fluoride Day” at the local schools where she provides exams, fluoride and dental education to the students of Krum. She recently provided dental services to over 400 patients while on a mission trip to the jungle of eastern Cosa Rica.
Dr. McBride is an active member in many professional organizations including the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, 4th District Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. McBride spends most of her free time chasing her middle school children, Riley and Reese, to all their different activities. She enjoys spending time running with friends and riding bikes with her husband Bradley and their children.
Dr. McBride maintains a general practice with an emphasis in preventative, cosmetic, and restorative dentistry.
